Johann Sebastian Bach Fact 1: Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21st 1685 and during the 17th century period in history when during this period there were mass changes that took place in philosophy as well as science. It was also a time when medieval alchemy would become the chemistry of the future and there were many innovations.
Johann Sebastian Bach Fact 2: In 1694, Johann Sebastian Bach was only nine years of age when his mother died, followed eight months later by his father. Then aged ten years he moved in with his eldest brother Johann Christoph Bach.
Johann Sebastian Bach Fact 3: His brother was the organist at St Michael’s Church in Ohrdruf, Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and while living with his brother Johann copied, studied and performed music. His brother taught him to play the clavichord and introduced him to many of the great composers of the time.

Although he would complete the work, he would never actually hear the finished production.
Johann Sebastian Bach Fact 17: Johann Sebastian Bach died on July 28th 1750 aged sixty five. His body was finally laid to rest in a vault in St Thomas Church.
