Ferdinand Magellan Fact 2: When he was twenty five in 1505 he enlisted with a fleet of twenty two ships which were being sent to D Francisco de Almeida who was the first viceroy of Portuguese India.

Magellan was keen to convert Lapu-Lapu as well and so he set out for Mactan with a small force.
